Veg Fest UMBC

We went, we ate and she bought stuff. The first thing that went into my mouth was a piece of vegan pizza. Tasted like pizza looked like pizza so I did not take a picture because you all know what pizza looks like if not the get out of your cave. The second thing was Jamaican jerk tofu, BBQ tofu and rice. The jerk was really good as was the rice. The BBQ was just that. Nothing special. Ellen had a vegan pot pie and noodles on the side. She brought home the pot pie to reheat but ate the noodles. They were refreshing. The third thing we ate was from and Indian place. Beans, fried bread and some sort of sweet thing I can't remember what it was made of. It was all good. The Indian food I did not take a pic of. I had it last year and if I can find that picture I will update this blog. Well that was my eating day so far but who knows I might eat something later. Thanks again for reading God bless and see you at the tables.

Cake tile

Ellen just made this delicious vegan Jewish apple cake. Crispy top, moist on the inside and a sugary glaze. I told her to put a star beside so she makes it again. Sorry for the short review but I am trying to eat it while its still warm. Thanks for reading, God bless and see you at the table.

Cold spring hot tea

Sitting down to a nice cup of piping hot tea. Not just your everyday run of the mill tea. This tea is direct from Tucson, AZ. A very different tea than what I am use to drinking. I love a strong black tea. I take no sugar or milk (eww) in my tea. The tea I am having tonight is from the Maya Tea Co and is called Prickly Pear herbal tea. Lose leaf with little flowers mixed in. I brew my tea longer than called for because I like a strong flavor. This one called for 2-4 minutes which I laughed at and let it soak for 15. I did not go wrong. The flavor was not as strong as many other herbal teas I have had and it has a good after swallow flavor. Thank you Brian and Jodi for thinking of me on your trip. Happy post Easter everyone, god bless and see you at the table.
